Day 41 - Pitching Video
What I Learned
Today, our group visited BWI to shoot the video for our research project pitch. This experience was both exciting and educational, as it gave us a real-world context to connect with our project topic. We practiced delivering our pitch multiple times to ensure clarity, confidence, and flow. The airport environment also provided a unique and dynamic background that made the video visually engaging. I learned how important body language, tone, and timing are in a professional pitch setting. Additionally, I gained experience in organizing a video shoot-coordinating roles, handling equipment, and adapting to unexpected distractions in a public space. This activity helped reinforce the importance of preparation, teamwork, and adaptability when communicating research ideas effectively. The video we made today is not only for pitching but also for the future of our project. Choosing BWI as our site puts a bigger image in this section, the video will be very beneficial for all the people flying to various destinations and also help all the parties involved in aviation .This is also the video that will be the part of our website.
Blockers
Shooting infront of the public was not in my comfort zone but as we continued reharsing for the video, it felt natural.
Reflection
Overall, today was a valuable experience in terms of both team collaboration and communication skills development. Shooting the pitch at BWI helped us think more critically about how to present our research in a compelling way. It also gave us a chance to step outside the lab and work in a more public, professional setting. I feel more confident now about presenting our project to a wider audience, and I’m proud of how well our team coordinated throughout the day.
